September Meeting!

Good Afternoon Friends! We will be meeting on Sep 4th to discuss Attachment Parenting, what it is and how to go about doing it :-) There was a hot article out recently in Time magazine that had some interesting views on what attachment parenting is. We will be discussing extended breastfeeding of course but that is not all that attchment parenting is or means.. Lets put some of the "crazy" thoughts aside and talk about parenting from the heart and following our instincts. We hope to see you all there after you enjoy a relaxing Holiday weekend! If anyone wants to bring a snack please do, we meet in Rm 275 at Christ United Methodist Church on Shroyer Rd.

August Meeting!

We will be having our August meeting this Tuesday August 7th at Christ United Methodist Church on Shroyer Rd in rm 275. We will be discussing VBACs. When is a Caesarean section really neccessary? What are my options and what do I need to know to be prepared for a VBAC, and what about a homebirth VBAC? what are the risks of a c-section as well as a VBAC? We will be talking about all this and more! If you or someone you know has experienced a c- section or a VBAC please invite them! We would love to have their input. We will have snacks available and children are always welcome just bring something to help keep the older ones occupied :-) We look forward to seeing you all there!!

February Meeting!

Good Morning Ladies,
Please join us tomorrow night, 7pm at Christ United Methodist Church. We will be hosting Allison Fullenkamp, the Troy DaraLuz Leader, owner of samozrejme (local cloth diaper store) and resident cloth diaper expert! She will be speaking on reasons to consider cloth diapering, the types of diapers available and she is also going to bring some from her own stash for us to play with!

In this tough economy cloth diapering is a great way to save not only money, but our environment as well, and it is not as hard as it may seem as we will see tomorrow night :) Look forward to seeing you all there, if you feel so inclined to bring a snack please do!

December meeting

This Tuesday, December 6th we will be having our annual new to you swap and Christmas get together! Please bring pregnancy/baby/ child related stuff you are ready to part with so we can all have a swapping good time lol!! Also bring an appetizer or dessert to share if u so desire :) look forward to seeing you all there!

July Meeting on Breastfeeding!!

We will be meeting tomorrow July 5th at Christ United Methodist Church to discuss breastfeeding, please come prepared with questions and we will hopefully be able to answer them for you :) Snacks are provided, see ya there!

May Meeting

Good Afternoon Ladies,
We will be meeting Tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 7pm to discuss NUTRITION in pregnancy- why is it important? How can we eat our way to a healthy birth canal?? What water is safe to drink?? The top 10 pregnancy foods and the "dirty dozen" PLease bring your input, your friends, your babies, and your birth stories and we will see you there!!

April Meeting- Overview of Childbirth Education Options

We are SO excited for the great information we will be sharing this meeting! We will have Jennifer Martin with us to speak about the benefits and how to's of hypnobirthing and we will also have Julie Harless giving us great info about Bradley Classes. Please join us on Tues April 5th at 7pm at Christ United Methodist Church. We will have some yummy snacks and as always babies and kids are welcome, but please bring something for the older ones to do :)
